Donald Trump’s Newest North Korea Tweets Take Aim At Former U.S. Presidents

President Donald Trump finished off a relaxing Saturday round of golf with a hostile Twitter attack aimed directly at North Korea. The provocative tweets wasted no time in blaming all previous U.S. Presidents for allowing the Democratic People’s Republic of North Korea to build a nuclear missile program.

Here are Trump’s misguided tweets:

Trump tweeting about violating agreements is laughable at best. The President is intent on violating the United States’ end of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the landmark nuclear peace treaty that President Obama forged with the Islamic Republic of Iran and five other major international powers.

It doesn’t help that Trump has aligned himself with a US Defense Secretary that appears to be supported his growing hostility towards North Korea. After Pyongyang claimed to have tested a powerful hydrogen bomb, James Mattis said the U.S. was prepared to meet any aggression with a “massive military response.”

“We are not looking to the total annihilation of a country, namely North Korea,” Mattis said. He then added, “but we have many options to do so.”
