A Pro-Confederate Charlottesville Protester Was Expelled From College In His Final Year

Allen Armentrout went viral for all the wrong reasons one week ago and now his pro-Confederate loving ways and adamant support of General Robert E. Lee has led to his college expulsion.

Armentrout became infamous after he was confronted by a counterprotester as he stood in front of the Confederate monument to General Robert E. Lee in Emancipation Park in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Dressed in Confederate garb, he stood with an AR-15 slung over his shoulder and the Confederate flag hoisted over the other as a woman standing in front of him presented both of her middle fingers.

When speaking to a local news channel, Armentrout explained that he traveled to the location to honor Lee, a man he called the “greatest American who ever lived.” His protest arrived just days after white supremacists marched with torches through the park, an event that led to the death of Heather Heyer, an innocent

His protest arrived just days after white supremacists marched with torches through the park, an event that led to the death of Heather Heyer, an innocent counterprotester.

On Thursday he learned that his university had chosen to expel him, just one year away from graduation.

“I have been released from my school and will be unable to return to college to finish my senior year,” Armentrout told WXII News. “I’m processing this and making adjustments to my life to compensate for this scrutiny.”

He then claimed that it would be harder to “serve the Lord” following his expulsion from Pensacola Christian College.

“I’m a born-again Christian and I believe this wrench has hindered my attempt to serve the Lord. I believe a Christian institution should support patriotic individuals who want to stand for American tradition and beliefs. It really hurts me a lot when you try to do what’s right and you get attacked.”

“At the college I was attending, my contract provided my fourth year free if I paid my payments on time, which I worked very hard to do,” he added. “Now, essentially, if I want to complete my undergrad, I’ll have to pay, which I don’t have the resources to pay for a fourth year.”

Allen Armentrout joins a growing list of alt-right protesters, white supremacists, and Nazi’s who have lost their jobs in recent weeks because of their ignorant and violent protest.
