Trump’s Anti-Semitic Faith Adviser To Speak At US Embassy Opening In Jerusalem

Pastor Robert Jeffress, a faith adviser to President Donald Trump, is expected to speak at the opening of the new US Embassy in Jerusalem.

Former GOP Presidential candidate Mitt Romney immediately took issue with the announcement.

“Robert Jeffress says “you can’t be saved by being a Jew,“ and “Mormonism is a heresy from the pit of hell.” He’s said the same about Islam. Such a religious bigot should not be giving the prayer that opens the United States Embassy in Jerusalem,” Romney wrote on Twitter.

The Dallas-based Southern Baptist is a megachurch founder and a staunch supporter of President Trump. Jeffress serves on Trump’s evangelical advisory panel and preached at the family’s private service on Inauguration Day.

“Historic Christianity has taught for 2,000 years that salvation is through faith in Christ alone. The fact that I, along with tens of millions of evangelical Christians around the world, continue to espouse that belief, is neither bigoted nor newsworthy,” Jeffries fired back at Romney.

Jeffress has a history of attacking Mitt Romney. During the 2012 Presidential election, he told voters not to support Romney at the polls because he’s Mormon. He then shouted from the hilltops that Muslims and Hindus “worship a false god” before claiming that all of Islam “promote pedophilia.”

The hate-filled pastor has also said the Catholic Church is following Satan’s path and that Barack Obama was “paving the way” for the arrival of the antichrist. We find it amusing that the next person to be elected on that “path” was President Trump.

Speaking on Fox News Radio, Jeffress said he had a specific plan for his prayer at the new embassy. Jeffress said he would “be thanking God for the strong leadership of Benjamin Netanyahu, who is absolutely determined to protect Israel. And I’m also going to be thanking God for our President Donald Trump, who had the courage to do what no other US President has done, and that is to officially recognize Jerusalem and to move the embassy. This is another example of a promise made, promise kept.”

If that’s not enough to make your head spin, Christians United for Israel founder Pastor John Hagee will deliver a closing blessing at the ceremony.

A 2008 recording from Hagee caught him proclaiming that Adolf Hitler was fulfilling God’s plan to encourage Jews to return to Israel. The message was clear but Hagee said his position was misrepresented and “the ugliest of lies.”
