Hisense has officially announced the launch of its new A4R series of smart TVs, engineered to provide users with effortless and immediate access to a world of online content and gaming. The new lineup is powered by the company’s proprietary VIDAA operating system and features a host of user-friendly functionalities, from a streamlined interface to advanced picture and sound technologies.
Intuitive Smart Features and Instant Access
At the core of the A4R series is Hisense’s proprietary VIDAA OS, a smart system designed for speed and responsiveness. The platform boasts rapid power-on times and quick access to a wide array of popular pre-installed streaming applications. A key feature is the integrated VIDAA Voice, allowing users to search for content using simple voice commands.
Further simplifying the user experience, the remote control is equipped with 12 dedicated direct-access buttons for popular video-on-demand (VOD) services. Pressing one of these buttons instantly powers on the TV and launches the corresponding app, eliminating unnecessary steps and getting users to their favorite content faster than ever.
Please note that access to streaming services requires an internet connection and may involve separate subscriptions and provider fees. Service availability and features are subject to change.
Enhanced Connectivity and Smart Home Integration
The A4R series is built to connect seamlessly with other devices. With robust screen sharing capabilities, users can mirror their smartphone or tablet screens directly to the TV. The lineup supports Apple AirPlay 2 for Apple devices and Anyview Cast for Android devices, making it easy to share photos, videos, and more with everyone in the room.
The TVs also feature built-in Bluetooth connectivity, allowing for the use of wireless headphones for private, late-night viewing without disturbing others. The included remote control also utilizes Bluetooth, ensuring reliable operation even when there isn’t a direct line of sight to the TV. For smart home enthusiasts, the series is compatible with both Alexa and Apple HomeKit, enabling voice control over TV functions like power, volume, and input selection through a connected smart speaker.
Optimized for Modern Gaming
Hisense has equipped the A4R series with features specifically for gamers. A dedicated Low Latency Game Mode significantly reduces input lag—the delay between a button press and the on-screen action—which is crucial for fast-paced genres like FPS, fighting, and action games. Furthermore, the TVs support Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), which automatically switches the display to this high-performance mode when it detects a connected gaming console. This setting can be configured for each HDMI input.
Advanced Picture and Sound Quality
Driving the visual experience is the HI-VIEW Engine 2K+, a powerful image processor co-developed with TVS REGZA and based on technology from their 4K models. This engine optimizes all types of content, from broadcast television to streaming video and games, to deliver superior clarity and high-fidelity images. All models include an ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts the screen’s brightness based on the lighting conditions in the room for optimal viewing.
The series offers different panel technologies to suit various viewing environments. The 32-inch model features an ADS panel, known for its excellent color accuracy and wide viewing angles. The 40-inch and 24-inch models are equipped with VA panels, which deliver deep blacks and high contrast for a more impactful picture.
On the audio front, the A4R series incorporates several advanced technologies from Eilex. An Auto Volume function stabilizes sound levels, preventing jarring volume spikes between programs and commercials while boosting quiet dialogue. A Clear Voice feature specifically enhances human speech to ensure dialogue is always crisp and easy to understand. Additionally, a VIR Filter balances the entire audio spectrum, while a Digital Remaster function restores subtle details often lost in digitally compressed audio, resulting in a richer and more immersive soundscape.
Comprehensive Recording Capabilities
The A4R series includes robust recording features via an external USB hard drive (sold separately). With dual tuners for terrestrial, BS, and CS broadcasts, users can record one program while watching another. The “Easy Series Recording” function allows users to set a recording for a show just once, and the TV will automatically record every new episode in the series. A convenient Chapter function automatically marks scene changes in recorded programs, making it simple to navigate and find specific moments.
